The designer Marcel Kadyrov turned a rather spacious but inconvenient one-room apartment in the plan into a comfortable and original-style studio.
Layout of a one-room apartment
The long, narrow layout of the room had windows on the short walls, so the designer refused interior walls, and allocated functional areas using draperies and shelving. Near the windows are located areas in need of daylight: residential and kitchen. Utility rooms, namely, a wardrobe and a small laundry room were placed in the center, the darkest part of the apartment.
Ideas for storage in the apartment
The space of the apartment is equipped with a large number of storage spaces, they are all removed from the eyes and do not interfere with the perception of the interior. For example, an ironing board hides a mirror in the kitchen, if you don’t know this, it’s impossible to notice. A dressing room built in the center of a one-room apartment, which separates living and kitchen spaces. From the side of the kitchen, there are deep niches for dishes in the wall of the dressing room.
Kitchen Design
The kitchen unit was placed in a line along the wall adjacent to the opposite windows, and in the center was a dining group - a large rectangular table surrounded by chairs.
Living room-bedroom design
The residential part of the apartment is divided into two zones of different purposes: the one that is designed for sleeping, is located near the window space, the living room with a TV stand is closer to the dressing room.
Bathroom design
The highlight of the one-room apartment project is an unusual bathroom: you can get to the toilet from it by climbing the stairs to another level. This decision was dictated by the internal structure of the house, and what the designer perceived as inconvenience was the designer who managed to turn it into dignity.
