  • scissors;
  • hole puncher;
  • rope.

On the back of the colored cardboard, circle the prepared template and cut the required number of Christmas trees along the contour. Make a hole in the top of each part with a hole punch. Put all the Christmas trees on the rope. Thread the rope twice through each hole. Then the flat parts will be more stable, will not move down the cord and deviate to the side.

Carved herringbone

This option is somewhat similar to the previous one in terms of design and execution, except that the Christmas trees are radically different due to the original design. It will take:

  • colored or patterned paper;
  • rope;
  • scissors;
  • ruler;
  • pencil.

Draw the isosceles triangles on the back side of the sheet. They may be the same size or different. No need to make too high or narrow parts. If the width of the base is 10 cm, then the sides should be no more than 12-13 cm. Next, you need to perform serif lines on the tree for several levels. The intervals between them should be the same. The first notch (the place of the future notch) is a line parallel to the base, which does not reach the sides by about 0.5 cm. Stepping up from it, draw two notches opposite each other parallel to the previous one, from the left and right edges. Naturally they should not converge in the middle. The next notch repeats the first one and so on. Cut the details along the lines drawn. At the top, make a hole punch hole through which the Christmas trees will be put on the cord.

If reluctance to bother with the production, find on the Internet ready-made images, print on a color printer and cut. It is better to connect the parts with a thin wire or special rivets so that they remain mobile.

Garlands from natural materials

Of cones, dried oranges and pieces of felt

It is very simple to make such a garland, you just have to pick up the cones in advance and prepare the orange slices. Citrus cut into thin slices and dried in the open air or in the oven. Garlands of this type are usually collected on hemp rope. For work you will need:

  • dried oranges;
  • fir cones;
  • rope;
  • felt;
  • hot glue;
  • any other natural decor (cinnamon sticks, bay leaf, mistletoe, coniferous twigs, acorns, etc.).

Such a garland can be done in two ways. First: cut a long rope, the length, which should be decorated and tie many knots on it. On each paste a decorative element. The second option looks more interesting and volumetric. For each decorative element, additionally cut short ropes of different lengths and use them to attach the parts to the main cord.

Felt is needed to cut the figures. They can be flat or volumetric. In the second case, you will have to cut two identical parts and sew them together, filling the inside with cotton wool or other soft material.

This garland is wonderfully complemented by asterisks from the vine, painted in golden color or spruce twigs. The finished product can sometimes be covered with gold or silver paint, artificial snow.

From coniferous branches and cones

Wonderful "live" garland can decorate anything you like inside and outside the house. It looks really gorgeous and festive, and make it completely easy. It will take:

  • fir branches;
  • cones;
  • wire;
  • Christmas-tree decorations (bows made of wide ribbons or burlap, beads, orange peel shapes and other decorations will also do);
  • corrugated plumbing pipe (used as the basis for such a rather heavy garland, it is flexible and durable).

Spruce branches cut and fasten to the tube with wire, as if twisting a wreath. In the course of the set add cones and other decor. Already ready garland decorate with artificial snow.

Garlands of sweets

From candies: 3 options

Many people decorate the Christmas tree with sweets, but you can also make it beautifully from the sweets. Before work, it is desirable to eat well, so as not to eat half the details.

Bonding candy can be one of three ways:

  • Tails of sweets fasten with each other using a stapler or thin short wires. To make the decoration look harmonious, it is better to use candies of the same size but different colors.
  • The second method is the separate binding of candy with the help of a rope cut into small pieces. Connect the candies by tying in turn so that between the tails of the candy wrapper is a piece of rope.
  • The third method is the most time-consuming, but it also looks much more interesting. For the garland, prepare one long piece of rope of the length that the finished decoration should be. The rope must be thick enough to support the weight of all the candies. With the help of thinner ropes or ribbons of different lengths, each candy is individually tied to the main cord. In this case, the more varied the candy, the better.

With edible bulbs

Without a doubt, this original decoration is made very easily. For work you will need:

  • sweets m & m's or similar (you can take raisins in chocolate, but then the garland will not be so bright);
  • jelly sweets (it is most convenient to use jelly worms);
  • knife;
  • fishing line or thread with a needle;
  • lighter.

Candy m & m's in this case will play the role of the bulb itself, and marmalades, cut into small pieces, will be a socle. Prepare the details. For each dragee, cut off small jelly cylinders. On the one hand, with the help of a lighter, melt the glue a little and attach it to the “light bulb” with a hot edge. When the required number of parts will be ready, string them on a string through the jelly base. The string should not be too thick, otherwise the jelly will break.

Popcorn and breakfast cereal

Edible garland will look great on the green branches of spruce. For the manufacture will need:

  • thread or fishing line with a needle;
  • popcorn;
  • dry breakfast in the form of multicolored circles.

String popcorn on a string, alternating it with dry breakfast ringlets. It is not necessary to comply with any sequence, the elements can be strung in a chaotic manner.

Garlands of other materials

"Snowball"

A very interesting version of the vertical garland, which looks like a real snowfall. This decoration can decorate a window or a chandelier above the holiday table. To make a snowfall you will need:

  • white thread with a needle;
  • round foam or cotton wool.

On a long thread nanizhite foam crumbs. The more such threads there are, the more spectacular the snowfall will look. Well if the balls will be of different sizes. Replace the foam can be conventional cotton wool. Tear the cotton into small pieces and roll the balls. So that the snow does not fall off on a string, glue it with ordinary PVA.

From pasta

Recently, Christmas tree toys made from curly pasta have become very popular. They are easy to make their own hands, and painted in gold or silver, they look like an expensive decor. There are plenty of examples of making snowflakes on the Internet, and if you make several and attach them to pasta beads, you will get a wonderful garland. The thread on which the jewelry will be attached must be strong enough.

Make a small loop and string pasta on the rope until the "beads" become the necessary length. Complete the garland with beads, ribbons, bows and of course macaroni snowflakes.

From pompons

Soft warm garlands of pompons can decorate anything, starting with a Christmas tree and ending with a window. For work, you will need a few skeins of colored yarn or a pair of annoying sweaters.

Pompons do in any convenient way. The easiest and fastest option is on the fingers. Wind the threads on two or three fingers, then, without removing from the fingers, tie the loop in the middle, dividing it into two equal parts. Leave the dressing thread long. Later with the help of it will connect the individual elements. Cut the loops along the edges. The more threads will be wound, the more fluffy the pompon will be. Pompons can be of different sizes and colors. The basis may be a harness or braid of the same thread from which the pompons were made.

Of brushes

Garlands with tassels traditionally decorate birthdays and weddings, but there is no doubt that it can be a wonderful decor for a New Year's interior. Tassels can be made of corrugated paper, specialty paper or ordinary napkins. It will take:

  • napkins;
  • scissors;
  • cord or ribbon for warp.

For the manufacture of brushes need to prepare rectangular parts. Spread the napkin in one layer and cut it in half. Fold the resulting rectangle in half. On the side of the opposite fold, make small notches. Spread the napkin again. The result should be a rectangle with a fringe on both sides. The middle remained whole. Starting from the long edge, twist the workpiece with a straw, and then twist the middle with a cord and fold it in half. The result should be a loop with a fluffy tail. Finished tassels nanizhite on the prepared tape. That they did not crawl, fasten each bundle during stringing.

Out of felt

Those who are engaged in handmade, for sure, there are remnants of felt, from which you can sew a beautiful bright garland. It will give individuality of the situation. It is also very simple. For work you will need:

  • multi-colored felt (can be replaced with any other rather dense fabric);
  • scissors;
  • patterns (it can be anything of a round shape: caps, caps, bottles, cups, glasses);
  • sewing machine or thread with a needle.

A blank for the garland is a lot of felt-cut circles. It is advisable to make them different in color and size. Those who wish can add a garland of stars, hearts, diamonds and other forms of the same material.

Now, in turn, stitch all the cups in the center with the help of a sewing machine. All parts must connect a single seam. It is easier and faster to do this on a typewriter, but the manual version will do. The length of the garland is regulated as desired. At the ends, it is desirable to leave a thread or sew a loop so that the decoration can be fastened.
